Did Gale kill him because he thought Dimebag broke up Pantera?
Or because he believed Dimebag somehow stole his song ideas right out of his head?

I just started listening to A7X again and heard their song Betrayed, which is about Dimebag's death, and I was just wondering because I seen both stories when I did research.

Yes, I agree with what was said above. There is evidence that Nathan Gale was at a couple other shows too, where they booted him off the stage. The guy was insane.

Yes, he thought that Pantera was stealing ideas from him, he also blamed him for the break up of Pantera, When everyone knows Phil is the one who broke up Pantera for the most part. The dude was just an ego maniac how thought he didn't need Pantera anymore. Phil also said at one time that "Dimebag needed a punch to the skull", and that lead to rumors that Phil was somehow involved in Dimebags death. It turns out Phil was just being a big mouth asshole, and Nathan Gale was just insane. No link between the two at all. I'm sure Phils comments didn't help matters any though.

So, I guess piece it together from there.

Nickelback Tickets – Reminding Fans Just How Good They Can Get

 

Nickelback continues to tour North America with dates that have earned them the second spot on Billboard's Hot Tours with $3.2 million in grosses. Live Nation's Nickelback stadium tour had sellouts during the Tulsa BOK Center and Spring Center in Kansas City, with performances in St. Louis' Scottrade Center and Orlando's Amway Arena helping to make them the second best tour of April. The Canadian outfit has paired with their label mate Jerry Cantrell for the MTV Campus Invasion Tour, which opened in May. Want to see more of this group? Opening May 13th in Albuquerque, N.M., the group will keep touring through late July hitting cities like San Francisco, Hollywood, New Orleans, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and more. Nickelback plans on closing out their summer sting at the Country Jam USA festival in Wisconsin, along with Michelle Branch and Lifehouse.

In support of Dark House, the group has been supporting the album since its release in November 2008. Even two years later the critically acclaimed set continues to get commercial exposure, including 2010 Juno Award nominations for Rock Album of the Year and Juno Fan Choice. Dark Horse finds the veteran rock and rollers with producer Robert "Mutt" Lange of Back in Black and Pyromania fame. The 11 disc set still features some of the classic balladry that Nickelback fans have come to know so well, with their veteran live performance power they have perfected over the years.

Nickelback's frontman Chad Kroeger started as a cover band singer working in Hanna before moving to Vancouver and hoping to make it big with his own tunes. Along with his brother Mike, Ryan Peake and Ryan Vikedal, Kroeger's self-penned tunes formed the group's debut EP Hesher, and the full length Curb. In January 2000 the next album The State appeared, yet another indie release that continued to see the band managing themselves. At roughly 200 shows a year, the group found a place among other alternative indie rock artists on the charts that caught the attention of Roadrunner Records (U.S.) and EMI (Canada).

With Silver Side Up, the group had already perfected singles live in concert as fans found familiarity in tunes like "Never Again," "Too Bad" and "How You Remind Me." The latter became the group's breakout hit, enabling them to find mainstream success as it hit the top spot on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks and Hot 100 charts. While the success came quickly, it wasn't without lengthy preparation – and Kroeger retaliated forcefully with production work for Vancouver outfit Default along with collaborations for the Spiderman soundtrack.

The Long Road appeared in 2003 and featured the second crossover hit of the Canadian group –"Someday." Selling five million copies maintained Nickelback's simple production methods and straightforward alternative rock, a move that kept them in rhythm even through Vikedal's departure. 2005's All the Right Reasons began the most popular album of Nickelback to date, with guest spots in ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Pantera's Dimebag Darrell and chart time for two years.
