EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! It’s my son! I don’t know what to do or where else to turn, oh God, please help me?
My son and I got into a HUGE argument this morning. I told him how Gary Puckett and the Union Gap was the best band ever. They are my favorite band you see and I'm a big fan. I've tried to teach my children to love that band as well. In fact, I named my oldest son, who is now 29 years old, Gary Puckett, in honor of Gary Pucket and the Union Gap. He currently works part time out of my basement collecting various Gary Puckett memorabilia and spreading the word about Gary Pucket on the Internet. He doesn't currently make enough money to move out of my basement yet, but he claims that when his Gary Puckett memorabilia business finally takes off, he will move out to an apartment.
Anyway, I have another son and I named him Gary Gap, you know, in honor of Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. I figured the two G's, Gary and Gap, would work well together. Anyway, up until today, he had always agreed that they are the best band ever.
Well today, he told me over breakfast that he never really liked Gary Puckett's music and that he feels that Bananarama is the best band ever!!!! I was floored, I couldn't believe he would say such a thing. I yelled at him and grounded him and sent him to his room, and when he went up there, he blased Bananarama music from him room!!! I couldn't beleive he would be so insulting to me and my favorite band!!!
My wife said he's just going through a phase now that he's a bit older (he just turned 25) and that he'll grow out of it, but I'm not sure!!!
What can I do about my rebellious son??? Please help me...
